We offer wrap-around programs and support services designed to meet the varying needs of women and their children.

Programs and Services

Julliette’s Place has capacity to provide 24/7 emergency short-term shelter and crisis intervention services to 35 women and children experiencing abuse. Our staff team of Women’s Advocates, Child & Youth Advocates, Legal/Court Support, Housing, and Community Outreach Workers are dedicated to providing assaulted women, including mothers and their children with the most appropriate services possible, efficiently and compassionately.

In addition to the shelter facility, our programs include:

  • Informal individual and group counselling
  • Information and referral to community, legal and social services
  • Advocacy specific to your needs
  • Culturally – specific women and children’s programs
  • Transitional support services and accompaniment
  • Awareness and education services
  • Support/information groups for women and children
  • Children’s programs
  • Supportive services for ex-residents
  • Public education for community groups and individuals

Transitional Housing & Outreach Support Program

Transitional Housing & Outreach Support Program is focused on supporting all persons who identify as women and their dependants who have experienced violence in securing and maintaining safe and affordable housing. Through this program, women are assisted with the application process for subsidized housing as well as with safety planning, advocacy, legal support (custody and immigration issues) and connections to community resources. Persons who identify as women who qualified for the Special Priority Housing Program are able to apply for Housing in Toronto as well as other regions such as Peel, Durham, and York. This program is available to all persons who identify as women in the community and/or at the shelter.
